Souldoll Vito (50cm) Discussion - Part 4

Both my SD boys have the default face-ups for their sculpts and I'm really happy with both.

 

I actually only got the default faceup because he was in stock at a dealer with it, but I'm honestly super impressed with it! I might just add to to faceup, but even the thought of that is really scary because I don't want to ruin the pretty Souldoll faceup T__T

 

A lot of times I'll go custom because I have a very specific look in mind for my guys. However, the second I saw the Rail sculpt, I knew that was exactly what Eilam looked like.

I wish SD would re-stock the clothes for these guys. I'd love to get my grabby little hands on the promo outfit they have on the Rail but when I asked they said they wouldn't be re-stocking it.

Finally can post a pic of Eilam here as his new wig came in. It fits reasonably well although I do agree that the Vito boy have a bit of a weird head shape. And holy curd, his eyewells are DEEP. I also forgot I bought him some eyes last year at DollNorth and I'm glad I did as the ones I asked SD for (and which they installed) just photograph weird in his head. Eilam is a Rail with the default face-up. I just adore him. He's such a sexy beast.

@Dr.Zed Thanks. I think they're Enchanted Eyes (there's no label on the box with a company name, just a butterfly image) and they're a colour called salt & pepper crackle. I'm really pleased with the way they look in his head. Eilam is a serious kind of guy and as soon as I saw the Rail sculpt, I knew that was him.

@Chocolatine hehe, Thank you ^^. my Vito Sean, Ian no matter how many time I refaceup him, he still looks like an angry bad boy.

 

My fave sculpt in Vito perhaps Vito Elan. this is Nate when crossing the ever crowded and hectic Shibuya Crossing during our trip together last year. so crowded .

 

My Vito Lester finally came after several emails and I think I'm heart broken...I figured this was the place to ask since you all have Vito dolls. The back on my Lester looked super thin when he came in and today I was finally about to tighten him and was shocked at what I found. I knew his back looked thin but what is worse is the shotty job they did to try and fix it. Or is what I'm seeing normal? His chest piece is glued in and there are finger patches that look like they used soft resin to pat it on the thin spots but its still too thin. Is this a normal thing for Soul Doll? I mean to me if I was going to buy this doll I would think it looks cheap and might be a recast. Sorry for the incoming spam of pictures, let me know if you think this is something to be concerned about. I have tossed an email their way but going by the past attempts It might take some time to hear back from them.

 

I had never looked inside my boy and was going to suggest that maybe you had a recast. Then I checked to make sure and my boy (direct from Soul Doll) is patched/reinforced inside the chest and back, too. I guess it's a thing with them.

 

I'd check mine but he's still all dolled up from today's meetup ...
