“it is what it is,” cecil often says, knowing more than well that it does no good to dwell on things that can’t be changed. he is trying to piece his life back together after a series of rough experiences. he spent most of his teenage years wreaking havoc wherever he went. he wrecked his relationships with his closest friends and his parents, though they only tried to help him. he just wasn’t ready for it. now he is and he wants to change, but change doesn’t come easy.

in the future: after the death of yet another one of his girlfriends, he decides to stop putting his happiness in other people and try to find it within himself. he spends time alone, putting his efforts into working and climbing up the job ladder. he also confronts his sexuality, deciding to no longer deny feelings he once repressed.
