Adopted Threads Progress

I've adopted four Lati Yellow threads and am in the process of taking notes on each thread. When I'm finished I'll edit it together and move the information to the line page. :)

Thread Progress

Findings

General Lati

  • FANTASTIC SIZE COMPARISON IMAGE HERE!
  • You can buy a doll outside of order periods, but you have to buy head and body separately which costs more.
  • Lati marks down the value of the doll on the customs form, though this is illegal...
  • Latidoll generally opens 4 times a year, I'd say roughly March, June, September, and December

Yellow-Specific

  • Lati Yellow are about 1/6, or playscale, sized.
  • Eye sizes: Different eye sizes suit different sculpts. All Lati dolls are shipped with 14mm eyes, but sculpts with smaller eye holes (Cookie, Byurl, ) suit smaller eye sizes.
  • Wigs that fit: size 5-6 or 5.5
  • Lati brand wigs, dark AND light ones, are very prone to staining your doll. Beware!
  • Lots of different "pointy-eared" versions...devils, original vampires, elves, dragons, unicorns, and lately limited Bayer
  • Used to offer magnetic hands and feet but no longer do (I believe, check on website)
  • Two body types - old and Renewal. Link to lati post explaining differences All new Latis are shipped on Renewal unless you request the old body.
  • Different sculpts have different head sizes. Lea is puportedly the largest, while sculpts like Pury , Laches and Cookie are smallest. Therefore, wigs might be looser..
  • Lati NS resin has been getting lighter and lighter, and may appear almost WS (as of 2011)

Clothes Compatibility

  • Yellow SP *may* fit CH Bisou Ai and Kish Riley clothes
    • (may have trouble with Riley trousers bc SP have larger bottoms)
    • (Riley shoes are good for Yellow Renewal, some Riley shoes may need socks to fit)
    • (Riley arms/legs are longer than Lati so short sleeves might be best. Fits SP better than renewal.)
  • Bratz tops, skirts and dresses work great on Latis and similar-sized BJDs - the glasses fit fine, too, and so do the caps on not-so-poufy wig
  • Blythe tops may work as Lati dresses
  • RRG shoes only for renewal

Hybrids

  • Though Fairyland Pukifee dolls are approx. the same size, Lati head + PKF body doesn't quite work - PKF have skinny necks which are set very far back on the head
  • same size as Jaime doll, Bobobie? I think?
  • Bisou AI body and SP body are roughly the same height
  • Jaime Doll and renewal are match
  • Pukifee vs old body

Lati Measurements

yellow heads: Lumi 5 7/16" 13.8cm Lami 5 5/8" 14.1cm

But Lumi's head seems to be bigger the other way (longer, where Lami's is shorter and rounder).

top of head to chin and back:

Lumi 5 7/8" 15cm Lami 5 13/16" 14.7cm

over top from ear to ear:

Lumi 3 1/8" 8cm Lami 3 1/16" 7.8cm

Notes

  • White/White SP, Green, and partial list of Yellow/Yellow SP measurements have been moved to their line pages.
  • I was going to do these as tables, as I think Wikipedia's tables are the bomb, but they do not look the same in this wiki and would probably be confusing to the amateur editor. I will stick with lists for now.

Style Guide

  • Include info about gendered bodies in introduction, not with numbers/measurements, since the genders don't seem to make a difference in size (minus the boy parts :P)
  • Include a space between the measurement/number and the unit (cm, mm, etc.) (source)
  • Abbreviate units (cm instead of centimeters, etc.). Do not put a period after the abbreviation.
  • Begin name of measurement with a capital letter (Height, not height)
